Robert C Hutchison has been working in the computer industry for over 40 years and has been involved in some of the most significant projects in the business. He has run small computer related businesses and has been the CEO of Visual Software since 1994.
Some of the projects he has worked on include the UNIX® Operating System as an operating system developer and as an educator, teaching operating systems and programming techniques to University professors. Additionally, he wrote the first draft of the protocol that has subsequently enabled cell phones to send text messages.
At various times in his career, Robert has written software for telecommunications, phone systems, computer networking, mathematical modeling, education, health care and interoperability.
Robert has written three books, two for limited release on the UNIX Operating System’s internal workings and another published by McGraw-Hill on Data Structures and Algorithms. This was part of their Computer Science Series and was internationally adopted by universities for classroom use.
